SPORTSMAN.
DEATH OF LINACRE

SYDNEY, this day.
Sir Rosebery, who was taken to Adelaide from Ellerslie some weeks ago in order to compete in the Onkaparinga Steeplechase on Easter Monday, but broke down just prior to that event, has been sold to a South Australian sportsman. The price has not been stated.
Limerick and Zaragoza, in charge of their trainer, F. D. Jones, left for Wellington yesterday.
The death is reported of the wellknown imported sire Linacre.
