YOUNG MAN KILLED. BROTHER SERIOUSLY HURT. FATAL SLIP ON SKID. ( By TelPgrnnh —Own rorrfspondfiil. I WHANGAREI, this day. Two brothers named Russek were engaged in putting logs on skids at Akerama station, about 9.30 this morning, when a log slipped.
J. Russek, aged 19, killed through the log crushing his head.
W. Russek was severely injured about the head, and was taken to hospital in Whangarei. There is hope of his recovery. The "Star's" correspondent at Whakapara telegraphs that James Russek was killed instantly. Wenzel Russek is not expected to live. Both were taken to Whangarei by train.
