NEW BRIDGE AT PAEROA.
OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Monday. The Hon. K. S. Williams (Minister of Public Works) has accepted the Borough Council's invitation to officially open the Ohinemuri River bridge on Thursday afternoon. The bridge, which has taken the place of the old iron bridge that had been in use for about 25 years, is a substantial double-way concrete structure, with a footbridge attached. The work has been carried out by the local officer of the Public Works Department, and is bein~ paid for by contributions from the Pae" roa Borough Council, the Ohinemuri County Council, the Public Works Department, tl,e Main Highways Board and also a contribution from the Ohinemuri and Wa- \ River improvement scheme The e. ..aled -ost of the bridge was £12,200. _ ° (
