I lia\ o been in Auckland for several months ui ill search of employment have ansffdrf numerous advertisements. In oulv one instaw* | have copies of references been returned, f in three other instances notification of a k®' *vas received from advertisers, although i® almost every case a request was made for the i eturn of enclosures. Again, recently I - application for two positions, the advertu®" w hich each asked for a recent photograph They were duly forwarded with a request ft* the i eturn thereof and enclosed was the iW®' sary postage also. Nothing has so far been recei\ed from the person or persons respOßsffikIn these days of cheap advertising, printinli etc., a few shillings would suffice to ad" 5 ® applicants who were unsuccessful to that effect and where they may call to obtain enclosures forwarded with applications. two portraits I forwarded cost me 3/ each, consider it the worst of ill manners for request to be ignored. Also when one is o«» of work the cost of such loss, together «itt : e ..^Pl n ß copies of references, posting applications and so on, comes verv expensive.' DISGUSTED;'
