Mason, Esq., M P., urported) are among our vice-presidents, tie Rev. G. E. Moreton, of Dunedin, Mrs. Juan Young, and Messrs. Free and Dowseti (tfct last .three all of Wellington) are menien of the committee. As the names of ow jgf executive _ show, the Howard League here, ti in England, is strictly non-politfcdv iuid. : na«i sectarian. Its declared aim (namely, "the prevention of crime and the promotion of the right treatment of delinquency") is in the truest sense patriotic.
