DAMAGE DONE BY CAR.
JUDGMENT AGAINST OWNER. WOMAN'S CLAIM SUCCEEDS. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A sequel to a collision which occurred 011 September 27 between a trap and a motor car was heard 111 the Magistrate's Court to-day, when Mary Alice Tierney claimed from Albert Carter, proprietor of the mail service car running between Waihi and Tauranga, and John R. Watson, of Katikati, the' sum of £10 for damages allegedly done to her horse and trap and harness.
The accident occurred near the Barry Road Bridge. Mrs. Tierney was thrown out of ( the trap. She alleged that the car, which was driven by a man named Jack Leaf, approached the trap on the wrong side.
Evidence was led to show that Watson was employed by a man named Gee at Katikati.
