The Finance Committee of the New Zealand Football Association has completed the, estimate of receipts and expenditure oi the propo&d tour Af New Zealand by an Australian team, together with the amounts which will be required to be guaranteed by the respective associations. This information has been forwarded to the associations, asking for an urgent reply as to whether the guarantee will be forthcoming. The terms and conditions upon which the Australian team will come to New Zealand are: Arrive about the end of May for a tour covering five Saturdays and playing 12 matches. ~ Personal allowance of 10/ a day for married men and 5/ a day for single men (44 days). Assembly and dispersal charges are to be paid by the Australian Association, who will take no share of the profits (if any) and will provide the team's outfit. No trainer will be provided by New Zealand. The party is to number 17 players and one manager. The estimated overhead expenses total £1654, which includes boat and rail fares, hotel expenses, entertaining and medical expenses, and laundry and personal allowances. Nine provincial matches are estimated to cost £535, and three. Test matches, Wellington, Auckland'and Dunedin, £610. The grand total is £2790. On the receipts side it is estimated that each of the Test matches will produce £600; provincial matches, two at £400 each, two at £250, and five others £725 between them; a total of £3825. Against this there will be an estimated charge of £856 for grounds, leaving net receipts at £2869. This shows n profit of £170 on the estimate figures. The guarantees asked for are:—Auckland and Wellington, £200 each; Otag<r and Canterbury, £150 each; six minor associations, £50 each. Total £1000, plus £250 guaranteed by the New Zealand Football Association Council.
