AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE At the third call yesterday, a sale was made of Devonport Borough 6 per cent Loan at £102. The same price was again paid this morning. Colonial Sugar shares firmed at the noon call, buyers offering £58 5/. Bank of New South Wales shares sold at £48 7/6 at the noon call, and Commercial Bank, ordinary issue, had further business at 28/. Slightly better prices were offered to-day for National Bank of New Zealand shares, but business did not result. Renown Collieries fully paid shares changed hands yesterday afternoon at 14/6, and at the noon call to-day sales were made of Westport-Stockton Coal, at 2/2 for the ordinary, and 3/6 for the preference issue. • South British insurance shares changed hands at £2 19/9, and Huddart-Parker Steam at £2 7/9. Buyers came in at the noon call for British Tobacco shares at 40/. Haywards Pictures firmed to buyers at 19/. Sales took place in Inscribed 4% per cent War Loan at £97 10/. New Zealand Breweries firmed to-day, buyers offering £2 4/9, and yesterday afternoon sales occurred of the debenture stock at £1 3/10. BUSINESS DONE. AT THE 3.15 P.M.
