RAN AWAY FROM HOME.
GIRL .FOUND SLEEPING. WITHOUT FOOD FOR DAYS. HOSPITAL TREATMENT NEEDED. (By Telegraph.-Own Correspondent.) W- HAKATANE, this day. 11l from exposure and hunger—it is said that she had not eaten for a week Hester Clark, a girl of 10, was found asleep in some scrub near Otakiri yesterday. The girl ran away from her home at Otakiri last Tuesday, and great anxiety was felt for her safety. Parties organised by the police started a search for her on Saturday, but it was not until yesterday that they found her. After being given a change of clothing by a neighbour the girl was taken to Whakatane Hospital.
