SNAKY DESIGNS.
The latest vagary of the woman of fashion finds expression in a snake buttonhole to replace the storeotypeJ posy of flowers. It is a mode which demands attention even if it cannot be called pretty. A girl in a new spring dress of green repp, with a fold t». material twisted ecarfwise round her neck, had a scarf held in position on her left shoulder by one of these snakes of fashion. It waa a spotted snake made from some softly padded" material, and looked very realistic as it was worn coiled 011 the shoulder of the dress. These snakes are an elaboration or development of the snaky fashions in jewellery which have been so popular during the last few months. They make a variation for the woman who is tired of twisting golden jewelled serpents about, her neck ir < arms. Life-like looking snakes also are likely to be seen on the new spring hats, lying around the crown in most instances, and sometimes twisted in among the flowers.
