A MOUNT ALBERT ROAD.
p™ l ! i \ CUSsio j tbat P° rtiop °f the New North Road beyond the Mount Albert terminus has advanced to such a stage that the Boroqsfc Council proposes to leave the road in questwn in its present state for only nine more month*, purely we have suffered long enough with the cost of upkeep of this piece of road, and anv. one who lias to drive over it will support me when I say that it is without doubt the wont piece of road in Auckland. It appears to me that we live in "No Man's Land." The council should wake up to the fact that the Mount Albert Borough does not end at the tram terminus and show a little consideration for those people who pay equally as mueh in fates as any other part of the borough and yet have not a decent footpath to walk along to get to the trams. Have any of the present councillors er pushing a pram along our beautiful footpath in this part of the borough ? If not I would advise them not to try. It is interesting to note that only one councillor is in favour of doing the job immediately. The money for this work has been granted bj the ratepayers, and if the council has the interests of the ratepayers at heart it should make this one of its first jobs. RATEPAYER.
