DOG DIES TWICE.

SAVANT BRINGS BACK LIFE. "The dead can be brought back to life and science eventually will keep people alive until old age claims them," Professor F. A. Andreyef, a menil>er of the Moscow University, said in a lecture in the Polytechnic museum. "Ban death by disease as unnatural and humans will succumb only to extreme age," he said. "Skin, blood and tissues in all parts of the body constantly are dying, being eliminated and replaced by healthy material. Technically, man is dying partially, continually. We can restore life to various portions of the anatomy. "I revived the head of a decapitated dog so it turned its eyes to its master when he called it by name, and I have made a human heart beat again. A month after death I cut off fingers and revived them into living digits. I rerived a dog that expired from diphtheria, then poisoned the canine and revived him again. I injected a solution of blood-making salts and adrenalin in the jugular vein and the heart recommenced beating.

"Death is a gradual process, the heart and lungs ceasing first, but this does not prove complete demise. Real death comes only when all the heart cells are completely dead. It is possible to revive persons if no serious changes of organism result xrom disease. We revive stillborns by injecting adrenalin."
