MINING NEWS.
Haurakl Mines.—The manager reports that at the seaward end of the 400 ft level the drive into the hangingwall conntrv to locate the Green Harp reef is following a cross reef, but with the opposite dip to the one expected. It is carrying nice minerals, and the qnartz is similar to that where the gold was got. The Hatirakl shaft is now 25ft below the floor of the 500 ft chamber. On the southern end of the shaft a reef formation is showing. It has the same course and dip as the No T reef at the 400 ft level. The crosscat towards the Haurakl north section is now 463 ft from the new Yeef. The country continues favourable for progress.
