OBITUARY.
MR. LAUGHLIN LOGUE. The death is reported from Norfolk Island of a well-known former resident of North Auckland, Mr. Laughlin Logue. He was born at Mangawai, North Auckland, where his parents were among the first settlers. Later the family moved to Te Arai. On the death of his parents Mr. Logue remained farming at Te Arai until the outbreak of the war. He joined the 25th Reinforcement, and, except for a short time in Brockenhurst Hospital with a wound in the leg, was with them until the armistice. On his return, Mr. Logue rejoined his brother at Te Arai. Owing to ill-health, however, he retired and came to live in Auckland. Shortly before Christmas he went to Norfolk Island for the sake of his health, and there his death took place. He was unmarried.
