NINE CHARGES.
BREAKING AND ENTERING. TWO MEN REMANDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Ccorge Tretheway, aged 31, and John Brisbane, 36, appeared in the Police Court to-day to answer nine charges of breaking and entering, one charge of attempting to enter and break, one charge of unlawfully converting & car, one charge of interfering with a public telephone, and one charge of smashing an electric bulb.
Tretheway is a labourer, and Brisbane is a cook. The minor charges were soon disposed of, both prisoners pleading guilty. Sentence was deferred. On all the more serious charges, the prisoners were remanded till April 3.
