Calluna and Haurangi led from the barrier lor a considerable distance, Polyphemus being taUed off several lengths. Once in the straight, Polyphemus took charge to win easily by one and a-half lengths, a head i e P| r |tlng second and third horses. Time,

Drawing second place, Fee Simple went away with the lead, and was never headed, winning in a canter by three lengths, the third horse being a similar distance behind latrina. Fairone was fourth. Riverna led up to the straight, where King Midas took charge, and after a good run won by a length, the third -horse being two lengths away. Time. 1.27 1-3.
