WHANGAREI BOROUGH.
COUNCIL'S CREDIT OF £10,672. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The Whangarei Borough Council finished its financial year witji a credit in its general account of £10,672, of which 50 per cent will be required during the year for payment of interest on sinking fund, totalling £102,309. The turnover for the year was £116,419, and administration cost 5.61 per cent, an increase of .23 per cent on the preceding year. The general rates collected totalled £27 481 which is £2000 more than last year.'
