DEVONPORT PRESENTATION.

There was a very large attendance at St. Paul's Hall, Devonport, last night when a farewell arranged by the members of the Presbyterian Church, was given to Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Campbell. For many years they were residents of the borough, and are leaving to live In the Brikenhead district. The hall was decorated specially for the occasion. The Rev. Lawson Marsh presided. A choice programme was gone through, the Misses Tye and D'Authrau and Messrs. Kilgour, Dronsfield and Perry Taylor taking part. Games were also played. Mr. J. S. Fairgray, session clerk, on behalf of those presents, presented the departing couple with an illuminated address and a silver tea and coffee service suitably inscribed. The address referred to the good work done by Mr. and Mrs. Campbell in all branches of church work. Mr. Campbelll was a member of the Devonport Borough Council. He was elected an elder in 1911, a position he holds at the present time. For 20 years he has been a teacher in the Sunday school and the treasurer. Mrs. Campbell has been a splendid worker in connection with all women's organisations connected with the church.

Before Mr. Campbell's reply, Mrs. Campbell was presented, amid much applause and the singing of "They are Jolly Good Fellows," with a lovely bouquet.

Mr. Campbell said St. Paul's was at the present time in the heyday of its success and had a great future before it.. He would never forget his long connection with the church and the large number who had passed through the class he had taught. The training of the young people was the hope of the church. Mr. Marsh said he had never seen better church workers than Mr. and Mrs. Campbell.
