BYDNEY, this day.
The announcement that a referendum with a bare majority on the prohibition question will be held in September, had a marked effect on brewery shares on the Sydney Stock' Exchange. This was due to the nervousness of the shareholders and the desire to dispose of shares. , Prices have fallen considerably. The total marking down in two days amounted to £945,000.
