DRIVER FINED £4.
EARLY MORNING ARREST.
There was a rumble in the distance and a constable at Point Chevalier, who bad received a complaint from a motorist at a late hour last night, went out and saw a vehicle slowly criss-crossing the road. The constable made some investigations and eventually arrested the driver, George Peters (51), on a chargc of being drunk while in charge of his horses and vehicle on Great North Road Peters pleaded guilty at the Policc Court this morning. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said that the horses which Peters "was supposed tc be driving were wandering aimlessly on the road. * Peters was drunk. The erring driver was fined £4.
