DUNEDIN, Wednesday.

Hore and Lindsay, the Otago players selected for the New Zealand Rugby team to tour South Africa, have both been passed as medically fit.

MANUKAU ROVERS CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Mannkau Rovers Rugby Football Club was held in the Orphans' Hall, Onehunga, before a gathering of about 150 members and intending members. The president (Mr. J. Green) occupied the chair.

The election of officers resulted Patron, Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.; presndeut, Mr. J. Green; vice-presidents, same as last year, with the addition of Mr. W. Morton; auditors, Messrs. Duff and Ueighway ; delegates to A.R.U.—Messrs. Moore, Valllance and Heigbway; hon. secretary, Mr. C. J. Williams ; assistant-secretary, Mr. H. Sherlock; chairman, Mr. W. Sturmey; general committee, Messrs. J. Laird, B. Irvine, B. I'epper. F. Glass, J. Brimble. W. Sturmey, It. Thomson, W. Taylor, and M. McLaren; club captain, W. Sturmey; delegate to Junior Advisory Board, Mr. C. J. Williams. The balance-sheet showed the club to be In debt for a small amount, but by the end of the evening, with donations coming from vice-presidents, the deficiency waß made up, and the club will start the new year free from debt. Last season the club had a very successful year. Prospects for the coming one are exceedingly bright, and the secretary has been instructed to enter teams in all the grades. The changing at the club's colours was left over to anotlfer meeting. It was decided to hold the first practice on Saturday, March 31, on the Onehunga Recreation Reserve. New members, totalled 37. there being ten new senior players enrolled. BLUB STAR CLUB. The annual meeting or the Xortb Memorial Blue Star Bugbj Football Club will be held to-morrow evening. The matter of making arrangements for the use ,of a training shed was left in the hands of the chairman, with power to act. Several new members were elected, bringing the total of playing members up to 20, this being considered a sufficient number, as the club enter only the one team. Practice is to be started next week, and players are asked to watch the advertisement column of the "Star" on Monday, when a definite night will be announced.
