ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

THIS MORNING'S WORK.

The veather was fine for training work at Ellerslie, this morning, though a slight fog early made it difficult to see some of the posts. The course proper outside two trestles was used for several gallops, and the No. 3 grass track was also available. The Course Proper. Restaurant, Pekatahi and Kelso were companions over six furlongs, which they traversed in 1.32, finishing aa named. Vaisier and Miss Myrtle were sent five furlongs., running the last four in 52 1-os. The former pleased most. Respirator went nicely over six furlongs, which ho left behind in 1.23 1-5. Eager Rose ran home from the half mile post In 66 3-ss. Tea Tattle and Bulolo jumped off at the half mile post and completed the distance in 52 l-ss. Bulolo began best, and was several lengths in front at the three furlong post, but Tea Tattle was alongside him at the finish. No. 3 Grass. Gold Money and King Emerald were timed to run six furlongs in 1.10 1-5, the former appearing to be going the better at the finish. Ballymoy 11. did strong -work, but was not timed. The Thorn was not Slurried to compass half a mile in 56 3-ss, Bombarder running a similar distance in 52 l-ss.

Jolly Money and Tea Money shaped nicely over half a mile, which they covered in 52 2-ss.

Modest Boy and Whakarite were not bustled to run the" last half mile of their work in 55 2-ss. Justify covered the last half mile of his work in 545. White Light strode over a round, and was not doing his best to register 1.53. Princess Ronnie sprinted Ave furlongs in 1.2 4-5, the last half taking 50 l-ss. She was carrying a good weight and went well throughout. Master Clements was too good, for Ossian and Nola Night at the end of five furlongs run in. 1.6 2-5.

Royal Trek and Bluespear ran the last four of five furlongs in 52 l-ss. Salamander did strong work over seven furlongs on the sand, and Wee Marble strode over six furlongs on the tan in 1.32, going very easily. The Jumpers.

Ahi Ngaro (C. Regan) jumped three schooling hurdles and gave * .really good display. Luxurious (Olive) was sent a round over four schooling hurdles. He jumped the first two In good style, but blundered at the third arid lost his rider. He was afterwards remounted and jumped the last hurdle welL

Royal Trek (Regan) was tried over several pony hurdles, and got over safely although he had no pace on.
