A record price, which is not definitely stated, l»ut which exceeds the former j record of £13,500. is said to have been realised by the Wantage-Crawford Shakesj>eare first folio. The Wantage-C'rnwforc! copy, so called because it was located by Sir Sidney Lee in the library of Lady Wantage, was sold recentlv to aii American collector for £10.000. Mr. Dressel North, the New York dealer, has just disposed of it to an American connoisseur, who withhold* hie name. Refused as Gift.
