AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.
Bank of New South Wales shares told at the third call yesterday afternoon at 15/, and to-day that price was still offered. Bank of Australasia shares were also placed yesterday afternoon at £14 19/; English and Scottish Bank at £8 2/6; Bank of New Zealand at 59/, and Union Bank at £14 11/. Further sales were made of Auckland Gas shares at 22/10, and of Wilsons Cement at 38/. Kauri Timber shares firmed a little, being now wanted at 22/6. New Zealand Breweries also improved, the buying offer to-day being 43/. Dalgety, Ltd , were inquired for to-day at £13 17/6, an advance of half-a-crown.
Sales were made yesterday afternoon of 5H per cent Loan, maturing in 1030, at £98 10/, and 4% per cent War Loan, 1039, at £97 10/. Buyers came in to-day for Auckland Gas 5 per cent debentures at £90, and Milne and Choyce debentures at
better feeling exists in respect to Waihi shares, buyers offering 10/3, with no sellers quoting.
