CRICKET AT WANGANUI.
VISITORS RESUME INNINGS.
SIX WICKETS FOR 320. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. The match between the visiting Australians and a Wanganui eleven was resumed this morning. Yesterday the local team in their first innings had been dismissed for 83, and at the drawing of stumps Australia had lost three wickets for 230. To-day at 11.30 a.m. the not out men, Jackson (7) and Grimmett (28) resumed. Runs continued to eome steadily, Jackson making many delightful strokes on the off. Eventually Jackson fell to the bowling of Williams for 44. He was succeeded by Kippax, who went Ibw to Williams for nil. Grimmett is still batting and has got to the half century. Details:— Six Wickets For 329. , After the departure of Jackson the morning's play was quiet owing to goodleneth bowling and keen fielding by Wanganui. At the luncheon adjournment the score was six for 329. Oxenham was bowled by Thakabau for 27. Grimmett was not out 62. Morton had joined him but had not scored. Extras were 18. WANGANUI.
