A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING HELD.
MAKING SHOWS MORE
ATTRACTIVE.
The annual meeting of the Auckland A. and P. Association was held yesterday, Mr. W. W. Massey presiding.
Matters in connection with the Spring Show were discussed at length, the consensus of opinion being that it was not attractive enough from the public's point of view. The whole subject should be seriously considered by the incoming committee.
Mr. Massey expressed the opinion that a representative of each show committee in the Auckland Province should meet as a metropolitan board to advise upon show matters generally. The question of properly exhibiting stock was a burning one. It was decided to recommend the incoming committee to concentrate future showß as much as possible on the association's own grounds.
Officers were elected for the ensuing year as follows:—President, Mr. W. W. Massey; vice-presidents, Mr. S. Austin Carr and Mr. S. Hamlin; general committee, Messrs. W. J. Lopdell, C. G. Brookes, H. C. Grierson, J. P. Kalaugher, W. C. Knight, G. Finn, J. T. F. Mitchell, A. A. Swaffield, W. Pascoe, A. J. Stratford, A. W. Perkins, A. D. Bell, C. W. Anderson, S. B. Grant, J. Wylie, W. J. H.
