AN ELLERSLIE ACCIDENT.
CONCRETE POST FALLS
While playing cn an iron gate-chain in Panmure Road, Ellerslie. yesterday afternoon, Allan -Joseph Williams, aged nine, was qrusheel by a falling piece of concrete and sustained fatal in juries. The little fellow was on his way home from Sunday school, and. with two other children, he stopped to play T>y swinging on a gate-chain which hung between two heavy concrete pillars in front of a residence. One of the posts gave way, and a heavy | .ce of concrete fell on Allan Williams. A passing motorist conveyed him immediately to the Auckland Hospital, but he died before reaching there. An inquest was opened this afternoon by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., when evidence of identification was taken.
