THE KIND HE KNEW.
Major-General Sir Alfred Robin, Commissioner of Scouts, speaking at an initiation ceremony of "greenhorns" of the Evans Bay Sea Scout Troop (Wellington) told of one investiture at which he had been present, where all those becoming full members of the troop were asked the usual question, "Do you know your honour?" the answer being, "Yes, to be trusted, truthful and honest." One small boy who had not been attending very strictly to the business in hand; replied swiftly when his turn came, "Sure, he's the one who fines you 'good oh' when you go to Court!" After the laugh had subsided, Sir Alfred pointed the moral. . . . "Incidentally, that's just the sort of trouble this Scout movement wants to help you boys to keep out of." ,
