The specially appointed women justices of the peace presided efrer the Children's Court on Saturday. This is a unique event inthe history of New Zealand, as it is the first Court that has been presided over by women. Mrs. Nellie E. Ferner and Miss S. E. Jackson were on the bench and three cases came before them.
