SPECTACULAR FISHING.
CATCHES AT CAFE BRETT.

Dr. G. Radmore, of London, landed his first big fish yesterday. It was a Btriped marlin weighing 2021b. and it was hooked off Bird Rock. After jumping out of the water eight times it went off in a northerly direction for a distance of two and a-half miles before it was hauled aboard the launch.
Mr. Nevill Cook, of Russell, caught a swordfish of 2391b, which gave a spectacular display for 27 minutes. When first hooked it came up clean out of the water and then made seven breaches in succession. It dived down ten yards, came up tail first and then lea_i.?d eight or nine times before being haul»d in.
Other catches made off Cape Brett on Saturday and yesterday include the folli'ving: Captain L. B. Wells, H.Mls. Diomede, hammerhead shark, 3.">01b, from the launch Lorna Doone: Mr. E. B. Brown, Auckland, huge black marlin. 6001b.
Mr. Howard Heinz, of Pittsburgh, U.S.A., when out in the launch Avalon, landed his first big fish, a mako of 1421b.
