ROMA OILFIELD.
T*P to January 17 the Roma Oilfield Corporation had sixty-two tests made of the discharge of petroleum from the bore hole. The bore had at that date produced 1433 gallons of natural oil, representing 10 per cent of the fluid collected. The Federal Government of Australia is giving financial assistance to the company. The Government Geologist has reported that there wae evidence of a large formation of natural petroleum in the part of Queensland where Roma k situated. Two representatives of the Roma Corporation have gone to America to investigate the methods of production of petroleum.
