Association With Zinovieff
Letter Denied. HEAVY SENTENCE WANTED. (Received 11 a.m.) LEIPZIG, February 1. At the trial of Joliann Schreck en charges of betraying military secrets to a foreign Power, the accused denied that 110 was concerned with the Zinovieff letter as had been alleged.
The State Prosecutor demanded a sentence of 10 years" rmprisonment. for Schreck, two years' for his associate, Kich, and six months' for He said it was evident from the evidence of Mertens, the German political fugitive. that very dangerous things went 011 in the dark room of No. 1, Anhaltstrasse, where Sclireek and Mertens lived.
