AUSTRALIAN BEAM.
THE FADING DIFFICULTY
(Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, January 29. _ There is apparently • little hope of minimising the fading of the Australian beam by recourse to alternate wave lengths, as is the case with India and South Africa. It is understood that all such tests have been without result in Australia, though India always hears the sign;!'--. It is now suggested to utilise India for the purpose of relaying, and thus extend the period of communication with Australia.
