RECHABITES' PICNIC.
The annual picnic of the Independent Order of Rechabites was held on the kdmonton Park at Henderson, when about 100 members and friends of the Hope of Lyndale and Hope of Eden tents, with their juvenile section, had a very pleasant outing. Sports and games of various kinds were indulged in. and resulted as follows •— Married Men's race.—Bro. Hughes 1, Bro. A. J. llson 2. Girls (S to 10 years).—A. Xazior 1. H Brees 2, Goodwin 3. Boys (8 to 10 years).—K. French 1. D Hannigan 2. Boys (6 to 7 years).—S. Navlor 1, D Lithgow 2. Girls (11 to 17 years).—T. Xorris 1, E. Carter 2. Boys (11 to 17 years).—T. Xorris 1, G. Dean 2. Girls (IS to 20 years).—X Mackenzie 1, H. List 2. Boys (18 to 20 years).—C. Conguir 1, J. Greenslade 2. Married Women's Race.—Mrs. E. Hushes 1, Mrs. A. J. Wilson 2. A tug-o'-war between the Hope of Lyndale and the Hope of Eden teams resulted in a win for the latter team. A relay race between Hope of Lvndale and Kingsland juveniles resulted "in a victory for the Kingsland team. A cricket match was played between the Kingsland and New Lynn juveniles, and bathing in the Henderson Creek was largely indulged in by both children and their parents.
