THE WIN TO WELLINGTON. AUCKLAND'S SECOND INNINGS. CENTURIES TO BOWLEY AND DACRE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) WELLINGTON, Monday. With 735 runs required to win against Wellington, the Auckland eleven was set an impossible task to-day on a wicket that had already seen well over 1000 runs scored off it in two days of play. The Aucklanders scored 458 runs in their second innings, and were thus beaten by "276 runs. Bowley, 120, and Dacre, 145, together put on half the amount of Auckland's total. Bricc was Wellington's most dangerous bowler, getting much help from a worn wicket. Wellington, with three wins, thus holds the Plunket Shield.
