LARGE UNRATABLE AREA.

HAMILTON, this day.
Hie capital value of Waikato County is £5,549,979 and the unimproved value £3,120,989. The estimated value of improvements is £2,408,990. The exempt or non-ratable proportion of land is a little over 43 per cent of the total capital value, and, working on the same basis, the ratable Maori lands comprise about nine per cent. Whangamarino is exempted as non-ratable land, both on capital and unimproved value. The Huntly, Taupiri and Tamahere areas also have considerable native land.
