The retail grocers increased their lead OVe IiJ Is wholesale on Wednesday afternoon on the Epsom green, when they disposed of their opponents by 88 points to 68, in the third match of the season. This gives them an aggregate of 269 points to 200, or Si games to 3J, so the wholesale will have some difficulty in winning the "K" Cup which goes to the winners for the season, as there is. only one more match to play, and this will take place some time in February.. Ten rinks representative of the Auckland Bowling Centre visited Cambridge to-day. In a friendly match against local team's, the visitors won on the aggregate by 207 points to 201. Prior to the commencement of play the visitors were accorded a hearty welcome by Mr. D. J. Lundon, president of the local club, and Mr. T. F. Richards, Mayor of Cambridge. Mr. .T. Pascoe responded on behalf of the Auckland Centre and Mr. Niblock (Stanley Bay), on behalf of the visiting players. The visitors left for Auckland this evening.
