NOVEL REQUEST.

Greeks Ask For Canberra Wheat. CROPS FOR REFUGEES. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 21. One of the most novel requests ever made to the New South Wales AgentGeneral comes from the Greek Legation, asking for 3000 tons of Canberra wheatseed with the object of providing work and crops for Greek refugees who were driven out of Asia in the war time.

The Legation last year asked Lord Chelmsford to order 2000 tons, but he replied that it was too late, but requested permission to place the order for 1927. No more was heard of the matter until to-day's request, which it is very unlikely can be fulfilled at present.
