MAUNGATUROTO POLICE COURT.

DARGAVILLE, this day.

In the Police Court at Maungaturoto, Mr. J. D. Hewitt, S.M., presiding, Con Abrahams, alias Jack Beackie, was fined 5/ for drunkenness, and £3 for committing an assault when under the influence of liquor.

Wai Pehama, for using indecent language was fined £5 and costs. John Marinovich, who allowed his cattle to roam on the Mangawai roads, was fined £1 and costs £2 14/6. G. K. McKenzie and Robert .itout, found drunk on licensed premises at Pahi, were fined 1C nd costs £1. The licensee of the Pahi Hotel, G. C. Stanaway, was fined £5 for keeping licensed premises open for the sale of liquor when they should be closed. A charge against him selling liquor after hours was dismissed on the payment of costs.
