RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MANUKAU CLUB'S PRIZE NIGHT.
The annual ball and presentation of trophies won by tbo Manukau Rovers Football Club took place last evening In the Orpheum Hall, Onehunga. There wat a large attendance of members and friends, who were welcomed by tho president, Mr. J. E. Green, J.P.
In presenting the Bollard Cup to E. Honaham (senior team's captain) Mr. Green referred to the team's achievement In winning the cap, and expressed th hope that In the near future the Manukau Club would be placed in the A section. Mr. F. VlCkery received the Whittome Cup on behalf of the fifth grade team, winners of their grade, and caps. The Jordan Cup. for the best club in the Manukau district, was presented to the secretary Mr. C. J. Williams. Medals for the most-improved players in each team were won by Cliff Satherly (senior), E. Bremble and A. Penny (third grade). TV Hatfield (fourth grade), J. Walfer (fifth grade). I. Douglas (sixth grade), and W. remble (seventh grade). W. f. Dodd presented to I. Douglas the Dodd's Cup, won by the sixth grade for the second vear. Messrs. Frost and Maben. president and secretary respectively of the A.R.U., offered their congratulations.
