It was stated in the House of Commons that of the meat supplied to tlie Navy in 1926 Britain supplied 1 per cent, the Dominions 83 per cent, anil foreign countries 16 per cent. Part of the meat bought from foreign countries, was bought at a time when Dominion supplies were not obtainable.
