LABOUR FEDERATION.
FIRST ANNUAL CONFERENCE. VARIETY OF SUBJECTS FOR CONSIDERATION. Delegates from all quarters of the Dominion will attend the first annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Federation, Which is to be held at the Auckland Trades' Hall on Monday next. The national president of the movement (Mr. G. Solomon) will preside, and amongst the prominent labour figures who will be present will be Mr. W. J. Rogers (Mayor of Wanganui) and Mr. R. Semple (ex-M.P., of Wellington). 8
The business to be transacted is of a varied nature, and includes discussions on such subjects as unemployment, immigration, the power of the Government to reduce wages on relief works, and the proposed amendments to the I.C. and A. Act.
