| Sport Attacked By » Ramsay | Mac Donald. PAGANISING MODERN LIVING. — "LONDON, October 3. A remarkable attack on greyhound racing was made by Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, leader of the Labour party, in a speech at the party's conference at Blackpool. He said the paganising of modern living had invaded all classes of the community. The moral curse of plutocracy was on them. "You can see it in this greyhound racing," said Mr. Mac Donald. "If our people require that feeling which sacrifices strong moral rectitude for the flash enticements of the day and hour, as did the people of Rome, then Britain will be ruined as. Rome was ruined."
