MINERS' MEETING TOO LONG. WARNING DISREGARDED. ifiy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, this day. A stop-work meeting was held at the Rotowaro mines to-day for a discussion on the death levy. The manager warned the men to have their lamps out of the room, in readiness for work, by 8.15 a.m., otherwise there would be no work for the day. The men returned to Huntly at 9 a.m.
A hotel ror. children only has been erected by the juvenile welfare organisation of Berlin to accommodate recrea-tion-bound youngsters making a stopover in the city. Ten cents is the price of a night's lodging; breakfast is three and one-half cents and lunch or supper seven cents.
