DELIVERY ON SUNDAY.
NEWSPAPER VENDOR PROSECUTED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTCN ST., Monday. A point in law was raised at the Magistrate's Court to-day in the hearing of & charge against William Patrick Oasey, of selling newspapers on a Snnday.
Casey delivered a paper at the office of an hotel, the purchaser having paid for it on Saturday. It was submitted by counsel that an hotel office on a Sundav was not a public place; that it was no offence to deliver on Sunday what was paid for on Saturday; and that deliverv of a paper was part of its publication, which was exempted under the Act. Decision was reserved.
