NORTHCOTE RATEPAYERS.
BEAUTIFYING ACTIVITIES.
The annual meeting of the Northcote Ratepayers and Residents' Association last evening elected the following executive:—President: Mr. E. C. Davev; vicepresident: Mr. R. H. Daniels; secretary: Mr. J. E. Grifgths; treasurer: Mr. F. G. Beaton; committee: Messrs. C. G. Fellow®, W. H. Barnes, W. M. Jacks, F. A. Jones, J. Brennan, and C. J. W. Taylor. The chairman, Mr. E. C. Davey, stated that four men, under the honorary supervision of Mr. A. Hurley, had that day been started oil the work of beautifying the eastern bank of the wharf approaeli. As the work progressed, the good work being done by the association would be recognised. Further donations towards the fund for beautifying had been received, and others promised, so that further work would shortly be put in hand.
The members of the NortJhcote Fire Brigade conveyed their thanks for donations of books to the brigade's library. The meetings were fixed for the first Thursday 5n each month.
