RAGLAN SEAT.

REFORM'S NEXT CANDIDATE. MR. REID DENIES REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Monday. "The announcement was not authorised by me," said Mr.. D.. Stewart Reid, M.P. for Waikato, in referring to the statement credited to Mr. J. S, Fisher, president of the Waikato Reform League, that it had been decided that Mr. Reid would be nominated for the Raglan seat and Mr. A. M. Samuel, whose constituency of Ohinemuri disappears under the changes of the electoral bounaries, would be the party candidate for the seat.

"As I previously .intimated," said Mr~. Reid, "it is my intention to stand for the Waikato electorate at the elections next year."

Mr. Samuel, when the new electoral boundaries were gazetted, anAouned that he intended to offer his services to the new Hauraki electorate.
