The annual meeting of the Auckland women's branch of .the New. Zealand Political Reform Leagpe, was .held yesterday afternoon in the kail of the Charch of the Holy Sepulchre. After routine business the president, Mrs. A. If. and the sitting committee were re-elected.

[;-=*. very pleasant and enjoyable little social gathering was held at the Catholic Women , * Hostel, on Saturday evening, when the girls of the hostel entertained their friends. The guests, who numbered about 140, were received by the Matron, Hiss Dißon, who proved a very capable and charming hostess. During the evening song* were rendered by Miss Phyllis Tye.and Messrs. Clarke and Stewart,] and this did much to add to the enjoyment of those present. A capable orchestra, under the supervision of Mies Daly, rendered delightful dance music. After a delicious sapper, during which Miss Dillon waa presented with a bouquet by Mies Fleming, on behalf of the girls, the guests departed having spent a moctj enjoyable evening. j

A delightful party was given by Miss Mkky Ferguson at her home in Victoria Avenue, Remuera, on Monday afternoon, in honour of Miss Eileen Parkes, who is to be married this week. During the afternoon bridge was played and a most enjoyable time spent. Amongst the gneete present were Mrs. M. Reid, Mrs. Philcox, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs Lennard, Mrs. Dargaville, Mrs. Detph, Miss P. An attractive musical programme was given by the Musical Circle of the Lyceuja Club on Monday evening, under the convenership of Mise E. Kent. The lounge was prettily decorated with spring flowers, and the foUowinjj rendered selections:—Piano solo, Mrs. Glimmer and Miss Hood; songs, Mrs. J. J. Sulhvan, Mrs. (Sorbin, Mrs, BiKon, and Miss G.
