CAPTAIN MACE DEAD,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The death occurred on Sunday at Oakura of Captain Francis Joseph Mace,
X.Z.C., aped 91. He served as guide to Captain Cracroft's bluejackets at the battle of Waireka, in 1860.
