VIOLENT COLLISION.
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. NOW IN CRITICAL STATE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) OPOTIKI, this day. George Hudson received terrible injuries yesterday while pillion riding on a motor cycle with another man named Papuni. It is said that they were travelling fast, and rounded a corner on the wrong side of the road, and met a motor car with a terrific impact. Papuni escaped with minor injuries, and Hudson was immediately taken to a doctor and then to hospital, where an examination revealed that his skull had been penetrated at the temple. Nevertheless he endured an operation, which
lasted 90 minutes, and he is now hovering between life and death.
